[败家] my vacation shopping list

Without any further explanation, let see the pictures directly.
(so that you will guess how much I've spent during the whole vacation)

Group photos (still haven't included my CNY clothes + leggings + Lancome liquid foundation)

1) Shu Uemura high performance balancing cleansing oil fresh
The ingredients include cherry extract (to refine skin texture and to bring radiance) and deepsea water (to provide moisture to skin naturally, enhance skin transperancy and to improve skin quality). It has a light aroma based on sakura, grapfruit and lily.

I already gave up on my Maybelline. The oil is getting fewer and fewer. Now it cannot remove my eyeliner and mascara completely after three times of removal. Accidentally read into people's blog about Shu Uemura and described it as "a monster eating any make up on ur face". Maybe I should give it a try.

2) Crabtree & Evelyn Rosewater Talc-Free Body Powder

I like the smell but don't like the creamy texture of lotion, especially under the hot sun in Singapore. This body powder got a very light (really light) scent of rose. The website describes it as following: delicate rose bouquet with fresh leafy green top notes. And they only use plant extract such as rosewater, rice starch and etc.

3) Crabtree & Evelyn Rosewater Home Fragrant Oil

Now my room is filled with this relaxing scent of rosewater. Very fresh very delicate.
But it's abit expensive for just a fragrance oil.

4) Lovely Lace Rose Burner

Very lovely rose burner from Lovely Lace, followed by 4 rose-scented tealight candle. At first, I thought the dish is abit too shallow for containing water. But it turned out to be perfect to diffuse the Crabtree fragrance oil.

5) L'Occitane Almond Apple Toning Cider

I have gone to several shops to find my favourite toner. At first wanna try Dr.Kiehl's Calendula Herbal Extract Alcohol-Free Toner. But the smell is just like chrysanthemum tea.

This one is to refine the skin texture. The ingredients include organic apple cider vinegar (to tighten the pore) and the almond protein (to tone the skin). Haha =) Anyway, I just like the absorbent properties and of coz the sweet sweet apple scent.

6) The Body Shop Nature's Minerals Foundation Brush

Although it is made by synthetic fur, it is still very delicate and soft on my face. Will use it with my Lancome Loose Powder.

7) The Body Shop Lightening Touch

Just buy it to reduce my dark circle. The effect is quite good.

8) Lancome Maquiliquid UV Infinite

The effect is very natural, so natural until cannot cover any blemish on my face. Still thinking how to use it effectively.

9) Fasio Eye Colour Sparkle Metallic Nuance Eyeshadow

Sorry. Haven't discarded the outside package yet. But it's typical pink + brown eye palletes.

10) Maybelline Volume Express Brown

Bought it with a extremely promotional price. Haven't try it but this is my first brown mascara.

11) Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner

Oil free formula to make it last longer? I don't know how they do it, but it's true. The colour is more intense so I just need to apply once and it is smudge proof. No more fake panda-eyes at night even though make up in morning. I like the texture, very soft.

12) Olay Night Radiance Restoring Cream

Very Creamy. So I purposely take the creamy photo for all of u.

Anyway, I just used it for few two days after coming back to Singapore. It is not as absorbent as Lancome HydroZen night cream and the smell is abit unacceptable for me. But now the face is no more tensed due to the dry condition here. So maybe I may give it  a try and continue use it for a while. If really cannot take it, just send it back to my mummy.

Still got some clothes + leggings + cosmetics haven't published yet. But I left them in Malaysia. So that's all la. Tata.

[UNI] Exam Welfare Pack

I just happened to go to Co-op to get something for my notes.
Then met those NUSSU Exco distributing the welfare pack in the Central Forum.

See what I get?
Notes, pen and Nescafe packet.

Anyway, all lousy stuff except the Nescafe Gold.
Miss the aroma that I used to have in my home.

Lucky Exam Pen by AIA

But hubby complained that the pen is not good to use for writing.
Sometime the ink cannot come out.
I wonder that what their definition of lucky exam pen if the students cannot write the answer properly by using their lousy pen.

This one, of cause, is not from NUSSU.
This is my AIS individual critique.
I spent the two whole nights on it.

[败家] Moleskine @ Kinokuniya

This was the second time I stepped into Takashimaya, the high-end shopping center on Orchard Road.
All Prada, Channel, LV are inside the building. Passing by these stores get myself determined to earn more money. I want the Miu Miu la.

Anyway, my destination is Kinokuniya on 3rd floor. The layout is about same with the Malaysia's KLCC one as well as the price. Zzz. That's why I don't want to buy in Malaysia. And they have this convenient system named Bookweb Singapore. You can reserve anything and just go there to pay or ask them to deliver to you. Anyway, the delivery cost is chargeable. But they only request payment upon delivery.

I could not find the notebook planner and Volant series I wanted for the first time I went there. But after searching through Bookweb, I managed to reserve it. Note: They only handle the reservation made before 9.30am everyday. So if you reserve @ 9.31am, bye bye, please wait for the mail on the next working day.

My two new Moleskine

1) Moleskine Soft Cover Legendary Notebooks 18 months Weekly Notebook Planner (Black)
Bought from Kinokuniya @ $33

There is another red cover available. But anyway, personally,  I also don't like red that much. You can choose either Soft or Hard cover. What surprise me is that the soft cover is not as soft as the normal PU we bought outside. It is still sturdy and solid, yet you can bend it (slightly). The elastic band hold everything firmly.

Oh ya. I choose 18 months rather 12 months because both of them are same priced. The difference is that the 18-month planner starts from July 2009 (so I can have more blank page to sketch) while 12-month planner starts from January 2010.

See the content.
Yearly calendars of 2010 and 2011. Foresee future sia =)
After calendars there are monthly planner in vertical form. It is different from those Japanese planner I used before which put monthly planner in box.

Two months in one page.

Ruler.

I don't know what this for as normal 6-holes planner, they use this for bookmark. But it is really useless in this thread-stitched planner.

One page for one week planning. Another is for note jotting purpose.
I purposely choose this model because I prefer to write something relevant to my life than planning my schedule. The final 16 pages is ruled papers.
Expandable inner pocket for storing documents such as receipts, little memo.

2) Moleskine Volant Series
Bought from Kinokuniya @ $29
I chose Volant Large Pink in set of 2 plain notebooks (A5).
Heard that if you opt for mini sized volant, every page is detachable.
The pinks are in different shades.

Brief story on Moleskine
Moleskine was created as a brand in 1997, bringing back to life the legendary notebook used by artists and thinkers over the past two century: among themVincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Ernest Hemingway, and Bruce Chatwin. A trusted and handy travel companion, the nameless black notebook held invaluable sketches, notes, stories, and ideas that would one day become famous paintings or the pages of beloved books.

Some common features shared by all Moleskine.
First page: "If found, please return to..."

Story leaflet.

Different products catalogue at the back.

The leaflet becomes my bookmark. Haha =)

The sentence just sounds cool.

But hey, I paid so much for something that is manufactured in China?

Some  complementary to my notebooks.
3) 5 colours pen by Uni-Ball Signo @ $1.90 each

4) Cute masking tape @ $1.95
Heard that it can act as Post-it and can be re-sticked for many times.
You also can write on it.

5) My favourite B5 binder notebooks (26 holes) @ $16.80
It is from Colour Palette.

The cover is made by synthetic fabric (I think so).

But cannot wash it o~
The index page and tabs. Useful for organisation.

What urged me to buy a expandable file is that the soft copies I have do not contains the detailed explanation. So sometimes when I refer to the soft copies, I need to take long time to figure out what exactly the notes are about. After exam, I'll squeeze some useful notes (subject to my personal favourite) into this binder file.

6) B5 loose leaf with 6mm ruled note page (50 pieces) @ $3.45
When come to shopping, I can understand most of the Japanese character. Hehe =)
Anyway, I bought a wrong loose leaf. The original attached is 6mm ruled pages but what I bought is 7mm ruled pages. Never mind la. As long as it can be used.

PS: After buying this, no more Lancome.

[败家] Daiso shopping spree + G2000 sales

I went to Daiso for several times and every time, it would bring me some surprises over the $2 value.

Round 1

1. Invisible lace socks.

With value of $2, I didn't expect so much.

However, it is extremely soft and the elasticity is not that tight to create a sharp scar on your ankle.

I like the colours the most. It just fits to my ribbon shoes.

2. Japanese style gift wrapping papers (5 pieces in one package)

Very nicely-designed papers and it provides some air space at the bottom part.

Actually this is meant for cookies or candy packing,

but I will use it to wrap the mascara and lip gloss for my friends.

3. A4 File Box from File Box Series.

I think the words on the box is quite cool.

Anyway, I use it to organize my lecture notes so they wont take up so much space on my table.

4. Detergent for sponge and puff.

One of the most popular item in Daiso.

You can use it to wash your foundation puff and it becomes as clean as the new one.

5. Book ends.

Happily bought two, one for hubby one for me.

It is much cheaper than those sold in Popular or Nanyang Mart (stupid small mart in PGP)

Round 2:

1. Rhinestone sticker

I think it is cheap if can buy it with $2.

And now it's on my Sony T2.

2. Perfume Reeds - Lavender

A nice decoration on my study tables

3. Perfume Reeds - Ocean

For my hubby, to deodorize his room.

Both perfume reeds also quite not bad. At least it wont smell very as cheap as $2.

But I realize that the consumption speed is very fast.

Anyway, next time wanna try the Crabtree & Evelyn one.

4. Cute stamp

Haha =) Just happy to see this childhood stationery.

But there is leakage of ink. Sienz.

5. 3D bookmarks - 10 pieces.

$2 for 10 cute bookmarks.

See the effect on the demo.

Anyway, in reality, it is still beautiful.

Some more it has "stem" attached to the roses. Nice~

PS: I just happened to pass by the G2000 in IMM and guess what?

They are having sales.

So I bought a short-sleeve shirt and a pencil skirt.

The pattern on the shirt. The design is very detailed.

The pencil skirt has some dark red stripes.

TI night

Our club won the Recruitment Contest in the District level.

Our prize is a complimentary dinner table on TI night. *Clap Clap*
We beat the old men down. Haha

Our table no, Lucky 3

Attached with pop pop. We kept it secretly for our Halloween party.

The whole restaurant with 33 tables.

Food picture first.

Menu

Combination Platter

The Jellyfish salad not bad.

Shark Fin (Where is my fin?)

Teochew style steamed fish

The soup is nice, salted vege + tofu.
I miss my mum >.<

Garlic Chicken,

no garlic taste at all. But the skin quite crispy.

Mushroom vege. sorry, no picture
The vege not nice. The starch is too thick.

Prawn with Tapioca Ring

In Malaysia, this won't appear on dinner please.
I think yam ring in Malaysia is still better because more fragrant.
Anyway, they peeled the prawn for me.
So I shouldn't make noise of it.

Porky Bun. Yummy

Yam paste. Too sweet and too milky

no yam taste at all. But i still love it because it is dessert.

Food index: 5/10

Now Programme list
Opening speech by organizing chair

And at the end, he was fooled by all his committee.

Opening ceremony.

And our President was the victim.

My soy sauce and drinks as well.

Some entertainment by some auntie.

*I should take the photo of 嫦娥. Now I just know that Chang-Er is so fat.

Game - Guess who is who?!

TI night must have some games designed to enhance your speaking skill.
Perhaps all the guest have their mouths busy with the food.
So no one volunteered to ask questions. So sad.

Game - Convey message by your body

Haha =) our active VPE and VPM did a good job.

VPE subcommittee.

Photo with awards.
President

VPE subcommittee (where is the VPE)

VPM

VPPR

Treasurer and SAA

Last but not least, our club mentor's couple shot.

Wekie really sayang Annabelle so much.
When we were invited to the stage, Wekie purposely ran to another table to take Annabelle along.
Sweet sia =)

[败家] NUS Orange Week

LOL. This orange week really costs me a lot.
Since they successfully invited Best Buy World.com to set up the booth in the bazaar, I must drop by personally to support... not them, but my needs.
Haha =)
Go to google best buy world singapore and you will know that their products are much cheaper than the price at counters.

my 战利品
Dior Beauty Pouch Pink $10

At counter, you need to purchase until certain amount to get this so called "free" gift.

Lancome Blanc Expert Neuro White x3 Emulsion Moist
5x15ml for $45, U.P. 109.00
This is my favourite moisturizer. Not too rich in texture yet can make your skin radiant.

Estee Lauder Projectionist
Major for voluming. This one is for Yeechien's birthday.
Double Wear for myself.

Clinique Lime Pouch $12
Inside has blush + lipstick.

Blushing Blush Powder Blush (08 Cupid). Blushing pink. so cute

Long Last Lipstick Blushing Nude.

Usually when people give out free lipstick with ugly colour, but BBW showed their best sincerity by offering a colour that suits all lips.
This Blushing Nude adds a natural shinning effect on the lips while provides moisture.

It is now on par with my Christian Dior Souffle de Rose (434).

Clinique Long Last Glosswear SPF 15
From top to bottom:
13 Fireberry, 08 Guavagold, 14 Cabana Crush

Out of this three, my favourite is Guavagold. very natural.
The Cabana Crush is abit over for me. Maybe pass it to my sister. LOL =)
I still prefer my MUF lip gloss and Maybelline Water Shine.

Demonstration for Mascara. LOL =) Just for comparison.

Plain eye with eyeliner.

Clip the lashes.

Diorshow Iconic Extreme Mascara.

The brush is very special for me. i think the irregular teeth can curl your lash.

The effect is not as good as what I imagined.
Anyway, $20 for 8ml. I think the price is quite worthy.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Zero-Smudge Lengthening Mascara

This is mine.
See the brush.

It is fury brush which can volume and lengthen the lashes with minimal mascara.
The lengthening effect is pretty obvious.

My Lancome Vibration.

Can lengthen + volume + curl just by one mascara. I still love it the most.
Although the lengthening effect is not as good as Estee Lauder, I think the overall value for money is the highest.
And, I think, after using the vibration, it can actually stimulate the growth of lashes.
After I curl the lashes by clipper, I just realise that my lashes getting longer.
LOL =)

[败家] Shopping spree

LOL =) This time no more Lancome. Haha =)
Still got alot of instock in my cosmetic box.

We targetted few things before going off.
Toner catridge, bag which can carry A4 file, and shoes.

Toner is the easiest thing to buy.

Walked in Bugis Street for a round. My shoes are not there.
But managed to buy one vintage dress.

Currently i'm deeply in love with vintage style clothings.
But in singapore, it is extremely expensive, about $45-70.
Maybe should look for them in Malaysia.

Then, went back to Bugis Junction.
Bought a bag from Double Index. I just love the bag at first sight.

*blushing*

But my shoes leh? Cannot find it.
Anyway, Hubby had an order, must find at least a pair of shoes so that I wont keep nagging around him for the coming week.
Finally, found my dream shoes in Mitju

See my bag.

I like the ribbon.

Haha =) I dunno what can I put inside the small bag
Maybe my Whisper LOL =)

Shoes, again, ribbon in front.

 Like the high-waist cutting.

They just match to each other.

The light pink of shoes is incredibly cute, dreamy somehow.

[Food] MOF @ Izukuya

Today, my hubby asked me to follow along his wire purchase trip.
Haha =) his group mates wanna buy wire for the robots.

During our trip, we saw one accident involving sbs bus on Tanglin Road.

Another cool motorbike in front of Sim Lin Square.

After done, we went to Bugis Junction to have our lunch.
Instead of choosing the familiar Sakae Sushi, we chose another Japanese restaurant next to it - MOF
Ministry of Food. The name is cool anyway.

Menu for appetizer + main course

Menu for desserts + drinks

Their ocha not nice. dunno why.

The teapot for hot ocha. If you order hot ocha, the waitress will light the burner for you.
So special.

But we were too thirsty so just order iced ocha.
The straw is individually packaged. So hygienic.

The unique container for soy sauce + pepper.

My bento is coming.

The pattern on the bento box is elegant.

Dang dang~ My karaage bento.

The chicken is abit oily. But never mind since they gave alot of chicken.
But the rice is extremely soft and nice.
I like the soft boiled egg.

Hubby's hot stone rice.

The waitress will pour the special sauce into the rice in front of you.
I must say that the half-cooked salmon is soft and juicy.
The sauce made the rice tastier.

Dessert time. Japanese dumpling with red bean paste + McDonald ice cream

Haha =) no la.
Just the ice cream is similar to the McDonald one.
Personally, I felt that the red bean paste is better than Sushi Tei.
It's sweet but just suitable with the tasteless dumplings.

[Food] Dreyer Ice Cream in NUS Biz School

Last week, there was a little buzz among the Biz students as the Dreyer posters were everywhere.
They were on every seat in every Lecture Theathre, outside some Tutorial Room, some corners in canteen and etc.

They also set up a Facebook group and if they got 1000 fans by 091011, they would drop by to NUS Biz School and distribute the free ice cream.
Yo~ and finally, our ice cream is there.

Three chocolate mint + 1 brownie chocolate (Fennita)

William was taking photo of the ice cream

me with mint

William posing leh...

Fennita's special brownie chocolate.

Ok la, melting lo~~~~

It's nice in term of texture and taste. Not too over.
It just smooth and creamy.
The chocolate is not too sweet, just fit my taste bud
The mint is not too cold, and the most important is, the ice cream is overloaded by chip~~~~~~~
